This months guests are poets Ann Marie Kennedy and Evan Cosigan and special guest from the USA Robert Fanning.


Anne Marie Kennedy, has an MA in Writing from NUI Galway and is the winner of the Molly Keane Creative Writing Award 2014. She is an award winning performance poet. Her prose and poetry has been published in ROPES, Blackheart Magazine, the Colony, the Galway Review, Irish Central, the SHOp,and Boyne Berries among others.
A regular contributor and twice winner of the People’s Choice Award at Baffle Poetry Festival, Loughrea, she qualified at the Cúirt Poetry Grand Slam, to perform at Electric Picnic.
She has had work broadcast on Sunday Miscellany,freelances for Irish Music Magazine and is a regular contributor at the Moth and Butterfly storyteller’s nights in Galway city.
Is that a Galway accent?’ is the working title of her forthcoming short story collection.
Evan Costiganhas had poems published in New Irish Writing, Burning Bush 2, Cyphers, The Moth, Cúirt Annual, Census 3 Anthology and elsewhere. Shortlisted for this year’s Hennessy Literary Awards, he won the 2012 Francis Ledwidge International Poetry Award and has been shortlisted in numerous competitions, including: the Listowel Writers’ Week Single Poem Competition,Bridport Prize, Over the Edge Competition and Red Line Poetry Competition. The recipient of a poetry bursary from Kildare County Council Arts Office, he has been a featured reader at poetry festivals and events in Japan, Canada and New Zealand.
His fiction has appeared in journals and magazines, broadcast on RTE’s Sunday Miscellanyprogramme and has been placed in national competitions. His travel articles have been published in The Irish Times, Sunday Business Post, Get Lost! and Outsider.
He has lived abroad for long periods – in South America, Australia, Japan and Canada – and just recently returned to Ireland. He resides in Dublin.


Robert Fanning is the author of two full-length poetry collections, American Prophet and The Seed Thieves and one chapbook entitled Old Bright Wheel. His poems have appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, Shenandoah, The Atlanta Review, Rattle, The Cortland Review and other journals. His work has been featured on the nationally-syndicated radio program The Writer's Almanac with Garrison Keillor, and he was recently a featured poet interviewed at the Library of Congress for the national public radio program, The Poet and the Poem. He is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Central Michigan University and lives in Mt. Pleasant, MI. with his wife, sculptor Denise Whitebread Fanning, and their two children.

Mike Gallagher, writer, poet and editor, was born on Achill Island and worked in London for forty years before retiring to Kerry. His prose, poetry, haiku and songs have been published in Ireland and throughout Europe, America, Australia, Nepal, India, Thailand, Japan and Canada. His writing has been translated into Croatian, Japanese, Dutch, German and Chinese.
He won the 2009 Samhlaiocht Slam, the 2010 Michael Hartnett Viva Voce competition, he was shortlisted for the Hennessy Award in 2011 and won the Desmond O'Grady International Poetry Contest in 2012.
His poetry collection Stick on Stone was published by Revival Press in 2013.

... Christine Broe has been writing poetry since the 1990’s winning the inaugural Brendan Kennelly / Sunday Tribune Award in 2001 and gaining international recognition when awarded the Premio Cittá di Olbia prize in 2002. Swan Press published her debut collection Solas Sólás in 2003.
Her second collection, Lifting Light, illustrated by her own artwork, sculpture and paintings, was published in 2015.

This month guests are poet Daragh Bradish and poet and author Gerry Hanberry
Daragh Bradish was born and raised in Terenure, Dublin. He spent his formative years in Bray, County Wicklow.  Studied fine arts and history in TCD. In recent years he has spent a great deal of time in Liscannor, County Clare.  Coming late to seriously writing, his first published poem was in Revival #18. He has since been published in journals in Ireland, UK and in Europe. Easter in March is first collection and is published by Liberty Press.
