This months guest readers are Marian O'Rourke and Michael Durack.

Marian O'Rourke was born in Limerick and spent most of her life in North America. Her poems have been published in a variety of journals and anthologies in Ireland, England and Canada. She has read her work on WBAI (New York C...ity)and Lyric FM and has performed at poetry events in Ireland, England and The United States.
Uprooted, her first poetry book, was published by Horn Press in 2008 and Inhaling the Light by Lapwing Press in 2009. Her short stories have been accepted by Sunday Miscellany. Marian holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from The Waterford Institute of Technology. She is currently working on her third poetry collection.


Mike Durack was a founder member of’ Killaloe Writers Group. His poems have appeared in literary journals such as InCognito, The Burniv Bush, Flaming Arrows, The Cafe’ Review (Portland), Maine), The Stony Thursday Book and Poetry Ireland Review and they have aired on national and local radio. A chapbook, Nothing To Write Home About (Derg Press), was published in 1988 and A Hairy Tale Of Clare (East Clare Telecottage), a comic narrative in verse, was published in 1994.
In recent years he has been collaborating with his brother,Austin on a programme of poetry and music, and together they have produced twoalbumsT he Secret Chord (2013) and Going Gone (2015.) A memoir in prose and
poems, Saved To Memory: Lost To View, is due for publication in early 2016. Michael
now lives in Ballina, Co. Tipperary.

The Limerick Writers' Centre Presents The June 2015 'On The Nail' Literary Gathering Tuesday 2nd June 2015 @ The Loft Venue @ The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick. Start 8.00pm sharp! This months guests are writers Mike Gallagher and John McGrath. Mike Gallagher , writer, poet and editor, was born on Achill Island and worked in London for forty years before retiring to Kerry. His prose, poetry, haiku and songs have been published in Ireland and throughout Europe, America, Australia, Nepal, India, Thailand, Japan and Canada. His writing has been translated into Croatian, Japanese, Dutch, German and Chinese. He won the 2009 Samhlaiocht Slam, the 2010 Michael Hartnett Viva Voce competition, he was shortlisted for the Hennessy Award in 2011 and won the Desmond O'Grady International Poetry Contest in 2012.
