This months guests are writers Mike Gallagher and John McGrath.

Mike Gallagher, writer, poet and editor, was born on Achill Island and worked in London for forty years before retiring to Kerry. His prose, poetry, haiku and songs have been published in Ireland and throughout Europe, America, Australia, Nepal, India, Thailand, Japan and Canada. His writing has been translated into Croatian, Japanese, Dutch, German and Chinese.
He won the 2009 Samhlaiocht Slam, the 2010 Michael Hartnett Viva Voce competition, he was shortlisted for the Hennessy Award in 2011 and won the Desmond O'Grady International Poetry Contest in 2012.
His poetry collection Stick on Stone was published by Revival Press in 2013.

John McGrath is a poet, writer and retired teacher who lives in Lisselton, North Kerry with his wife Kate. He is a founder member of the Seanchaí Writers’ Group in Listowel and a member of the Listowel Writers’ Week committee.His work has previously been included in The Ballydonoghue Magazine and The Malpais Review, Santa Fe, and online in The First Cut. John’s first collection, Blue Sky Day, was published by Moybella Press in 2007. He also co-wrote Rebel Mind, Conor
O’Sullivan’s biography published by Moybella Press in 2011.

  1. My group of friends enjoys eating and trying lesser known beers, or the amazing cocktails all the time. This is the best place I know with the most perfect environment. Event halls in Philadelphia has become my favorite over the last year.
