Based on the best selling Salmon Poetry book: Poetry: Reading It, Writing It, Publishing It! is an unusual take on poetry and the marketplace. It contains advice in the form of essays by poets and publishers (and poets who are also publishers) such as Rita Ann Higgins, Gabriel Fitzmaurice, Kevin Higgins and Caroline Lynch. The Limerick Writers’ Centre presents National Poetry Day at The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick The Limerick Writers’ Centre continue their new ‘On The Nail’ reading series with a special evening of poetry and music at The Locke Bar, George’s Quay, Limerick on Thursday 1st October to mark National Poetry Day. Featured guest readers will read from the classics and at a special open-mic writers and poetry lovers of all hue and shade are invited along to read their own favourite poems. Even if you don’t write you are welcome to bring something along to read. So if you’re a fan of Wordsworth, Frost, Heaney and others, this is your chance to read that poem.
