The Limerick Writers' Centre Presents The Jan 2013 'On The Nail' Literary Gathering Tuesday 8th Jan 2013 @ The Loft Venue @ The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick. Start 8.00pm sharp! This month’s guests are Joe Horgan and Teri Murray Joseph Horgan was born in Birmingham, England, of Irish parents. He is a poet, author, journalist, and reviewer. His writings and poems have appeared in numerous literary journals in Ireland, the UK, Europe and America and have been broadcast on television and radio. He is a past winner of The Patrick Kavanagh Award. He has been short-listed for a Hennessy Award. He has been a recipient of an Arts Council bursary and a Cork County Council Arts bursary. His first collection of poetry, Slipping Letters Beneath the Sea, was published by Doghouse in 2008. His second book, The Song at Your Backdoor, a meditation on identity and place, was published by Collins Press in 2010. It was selected as an RTE Book on One. His third book, An Unsched

The Limerick Writers' Centre Presents The December 'On The Nail' Literary Gathering Tuesday 4th Dec 2012 @ The Loft Venue @ The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick. Start 8.00pm sharp! This month guest readers Catherine Phil McCarthy and Micheal O hAodha In association with Poetry Ireland and Foras na Gaeilge PLUS launch of Revival Literary Journal No.24 Catherine Phil MacCarthy’s fourth collection of poems, The Invisible Threshold is published by Dedalus Press, Dublin, in September 2012. Earlier collections include This Hour of the Tide, Salmon 1994, the blue globe, (1998) and Suntrap (2007), both from Blackstaff Press, as well as her novel, One Room an Everywhere (2003). Recent anthology and journal publication includes Opening Eyes, Cambridge University Press, 2009 and Shine On, Dedalus Press, 2011.
