The Limerick Writers’ Centre presents National Poetry Day at The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick The Limerick Writers’ Centre continue their new ‘On The Nail’ reading series with a special evening of poetry and music at The Locke Bar, George’s Quay, Limerick on Thursday 1st October to mark National Poetry Day. Featured guest readers will read from the classics and at a special open-mic writers and poetry lovers of all hue and shade are invited along to read their own favourite poems. Even if you don’t write you are welcome to bring something along to read. So if you’re a fan of Wordsworth, Frost, Heaney and others, this is your chance to read that poem. Music on the night will be provided by Chris Wood, Larry De Cleir and others. This is also your chance to meet other writers and anyone interested in creative writing is welcome to come along on the night and meet with like-minded people, those interested in becoming part of a writing group are encouraged to meet and form groups
